Fantastic little restaurant. The owner talked with me throughout my meal, which was nice. Also, I am a local in Myrtle Beach and she offered to make me a vegetarian version of their specialty, how nice of her! I was blown away by how wonderful the whole dining experience was as a whole. My veggie triple decker was fantastic & my homemade cheese sticks were out of this world. 5 stars & I will most definitely be returning!

First vacation with my brother and friend. So we found it on our hotel website and decided to try it. We found it to be different at first but loved it. The cheese sticks was so amazing. The food was fresh and a taste bud experience. Best I had in a long time. I would give her 5 stars

I am always on the search for quality, locally owned restaurants; this place is exactly what I was looking for and I will definitely be back for more. Prompt service, kind people, and delicious food. You feel right at home as soon as you sit down for a meal. The menu is reasonably priced and they have free delivery, which is a plus for the days I feel like having inexpensive, quality, and plentiful take-out. I recommend the chicken bihon- yummy!!

My friend Vi P. & I busted this wonderful Filipino restaurant with 2 other great friends. Vi is known to find great restaurants so we let her pick this adorable restaurant and we were all craving something "ethnic" for lunch. It's about a 15 minute walk from the boardwalk at Myrtle beach. Not too bad of a walk & the weather was perfect for it! The restaurant is named after the owner, "Athena." Her father liked Grecian names. At first we thought we were lost and unable to locate the restaurant but then realized the building number matched what we were looking for so it was a good thing that we called to make sure we had the right place. Initially the front door was locked but we soon realized the owner, Athena was by herself in the back organizing her inventory and locked her front door as a precaution. Glad we called because our lunch was fantastic! I ordered the chicken bihoh and it was better than I expected. It had been over 5 years since I last had Filipino food and the only thing I recall was that the food generally tasted too salty for my taste. My chicken bihoh was perfectly seasoned and the noodles were cooked to perfection. The owner rocks & you can tell she's passionate about her cooking and satisfied customers. It was a pleasure meeting her (Athena) and we all enjoyed getting to know her story and her past successes in the restaurant/bar business. If we're ever back in Myrtle Beach, we'll be sure to return for the food & company!

My first experience with Filipino food was a food truck in Charleston, SC and it was amazing so when I found this place on Yelp I made it a priority to stop here and again the Chicken Bihon and lumpia were amazing! I also ordered the wings and I was not a fan so I would definitely stick with the Filipino entrees......can't wait to return to this place.

What a great find. Great food at a very reasonable price. Don't be fooled by the location and nondescript look of the outside. The owners were warm and friendly. Next time I am back in Myrtle Beach I will make it a point to stop.

Stopped here for a late lunch. We picked this place primarily based upon the reviews. A 5 star rating with 16 reviews, should be pretty good. The first surprise was that we were the only ones in the place (approx. 1:00 pm). The waiter was friendly enough. We got the lumpia for the appetizer. It was ok, a basic spring roll. I got the chicken bihon that the other reviewers rave about. Meh, a saltier Pad Thai. I really don't know Filipino cuisine, so can't make any judgement as to authenticity. Over all, out was an ok place, hence the three stars. No way a 5 star.

Michelle K. tells the story absolutely precise so if you want to know all the details of my dining experience there, read her awesome review. I just want to confirm that the Chicken Bihon was good, as I ordered it too. The noodles were wonderfully seasoned and I really liked the lumpia (I usually like these awesome little Filipino egg rolls, which are crispy and the perfect size). It was a good thing we called when we were unable to go through the locked front door, because we would have missed out on a great meal and fun anecdotes from owner, Athena. If I am ever back in Myrtle Beach, I will make an effort to come back here. It was pretty close to the Boardwalk area, though walking will set you back about 15 minutes. This wasn't a problem, except that Michelle's and my lunch companions were on a strict schedule and ended up having to run out with only a few bites of food. This place is not in the most touristy of areas, so you will have to kind of look for it to end up eating here. Look though, you'll leave with a satisfied belly that won't weigh you down too much. Perfect way to aliment when hanging out in a beach town.

Found this gem while my family and I were at Myrtle for a week. The food was great and the customer service was just outstanding. Definitely going back next time we are in town. More restaurants should be this way. Great food with a genuine staff. Order the palabok!

Ive eaten here once. Kinda expensive. But i you have a Filipino blood you'll love their palabok, lumpia and pansit for Merienda (snacks). Gotta try for my second.

The Filipino food was great, and the service was excellent. It was super affordable, and we left sated and happy. I just wish there were more Filipino items on the menu, but Athena did say that they would be adding more dishes to the menu. Thank you guys for a great evening!

It's hard to believe such a quaint restaurant existed so close to the tourist hustle and bustle that is the Redneck Riviera (Myrtle Beach). My family satisfied their Filipino palettes while I sat by a window and watched cars and bicycles pass while drinking my German beer. They loved the Filipino cuisine. I loved my beer. Just a very lovely little establishment.

What a hidden jewel! First time eating philippino food. The menu is deceiving, most items are not ethnic but the few that are were delicious! Had the lumpia which were so crisp and the palabok was delicious. Also we got to speak with the owner during the meal, she is very friendly and accommodating. It was our daughters birthday and she made it special. This place is a little out of the way but definitely worth it!

I joined yelp after eating here just to praise this place. We started with an appetizer, the poppers. This is different than other jalapeño poppers I've had, but far better. It had fresh cut peppers combined with ground beef. It was simply amazing. For entrees we had what was described by the owner as the two authentic Filipino dishes on the menu. My wife and I both greatly enjoyed them.

The food was freshly made, flavorful, and full of care n love. But really. Our stop by Athena's was the perfect end to our beach trip. You locals are lucky. Hope to stop by again when we are in myrtle beach next!
